Scout's Birthday!

Today is Scout's birthday! She is now a year old! We can't believe it. She's still such a baby. We got her a stuffed Christmas puppy (that looks like her) and a stuffed tiger head/rope toy. She is spoiled rotten and such a sweetie pie.

We celebrated with a wonderful dinner of grilled pork chops, mac and cheese, green beans and garlic toast. Jeff does an amazing job of cooking on our new grill. It's so nice to come home and enjoy cooking together and having a nice sit-down meal to relax from the day. We also celebrated with a little bit of wine and beer in some of our new glasses and decanter that we received from our wedding. It's exciting to actually go through the gifts and start using them and storing them for future use. Anyways, we're off to relax a little more and enjoy this chilly fall weather! Love you all! :)

New Blog

So we thought we'd try using one of these blog things to keep people up to date on what's going on in our wonderful, married lives! I know, everyone is so excited about it, they can't stand it.

But we've been married now f
or only 3 weeks (tomorrow) and of course, everything's wonderful. We had a BEAUTIFUL wedding (or so we hear) and we're so grateful to all of our friends and family who made it possible. Someone gave us a wedding card that said "Enjoy your wedding day because it's the only party you get to throw and make other people clean up afterwards." Which is very true....THANK YOU again to everyone who helped in any way!

The honeymoon was amazing. Jeff planned the entire thing and he did an awesome job. It was at an all-inclusive resort, about 20 miles north of Cancun, Mexico. Weather was perfect, people were incredibly nice, and the food and drinks were perfect too. As you can see from these pictures posted, it was beautiful! But the pictures just don't do it justice. (If you click on the photos, you can view them full size.)

Everyone was telling us how depressing it would be to come home from the honeymoon and back to reality and working...but Jeff and I were actually excited to come home and get settled in as Mr. and Mrs. Jennings. We're working on thank you cards to everyone (now that's a job), but don't be expecting them anytime soon. And I'm also working on changing my name legally. Waiting to get my new social security card and then I'm off to the DMV, the bank, and everything else too.

We ate dinner at the Homestead last night with Don, Sybil, Jay and Jackie to celebrate Don & Sybil's 54th wedding anniversary. Congratulations to them! Hopefully Jeff and I will be that lucky someday too.

Mom and Dad just bought Jeff and I our birthday presents. That's right, tickets to the Eagles when they come to Greensboro on January 17th. We both can't wait...it's going to be an amazing show! Thanks to them for our early presents.

Anyways--we'll keep everyone posted occasionally on what's going on with us and hope everyone will keep in touch!
