Starting off Spring

Sorry for the delay in posting!  I keep meaning to update things, and haven't gotten around to it!  Here are some recent pictures:

Evan getting the hang of sitting up on her own!

We know quite a few people in the area who have had babies (mostly little girls) within the past year.  I thought it would be fun to get some of us together and let the kids lay around and look at each other....and us mamas could chat about what is going on with our lives!  We had our first get together at our house on March 17th....We had 8 babies and 8 mamas hanging out!  It was pretty fun!  I'm hoping we can meet again sometime soon....maybe have a picnic lunch at a park since the weather is getting warmer.  Here are a few pictures from the mama group:

We went to Fuquay this past Saturday to go to a dinner where Jake & Amanda revealed the sex of their baby!  We had a great time, and found out that they are having a sweet little GIRL!!  :)  Evan and Baby Girl Schachle will grow up having tons of fun together on family trips, I'm sure!  We're so excited for Jake & Amanda!  Here are a few pictures from the weekend:

5 Months!

Evan turned 5 months yesterday (3.11.12).  Here is our photoshoot:

This one (above) is my fav!

I love this baby girl....she is such a WONDERFUL baby and loves to laugh and giggle at her silly parents.

Here are some things happening at 5 months:
We are no longer breast feeding.  We were in transition over the past couple of weeks, and this past weekend was the first full days of only formula.  It's convenient to use the formula, and Evan doesn't mind a bit.  I'm so grateful that breastfeeding came so easy for me and her!  It is a little sad to think that stage of her life is over though....BUT she is now eating several different types of baby food!  Evan has eaten sweet potatoes, green peas, bananas and apples.  We will be trying carrots in the next day or so.
She is wearing size 3 diapers.  She hasn't gotten any teeth yet but she always has her fingers or a toy in her mouth.  Evan likes to talk.  She also loves her jumparoo.  She will GO TO TOWN in that thing and crack herself up!  I need to video her and share it on here.  She makes me laugh everyday!  She also loves watching Tucker and Scout.  I can't wait to see how she interacts with them over the next few years.  :)

I don't think I've posted on here about Jake & Amanda expecting a baby....but they are!!  We are totally excited for them and cannot wait to find out if they're having a boy or girl!!  We will be finding out the news on March 24th.  :)  Luckily, pregnancy has been good to Amanda so far.  I hope and pray that she has a smooth and easy pregnancy and delivery like we had with Evan.

Also, the ACC tournament ended this weekend.  We had a little photo shoot at the studio for the babies to show their team spirit:

Unfortunately, Florida State ended up winning the ACC championship this year.  BUT all 3 of our teams made the NCAA tournament!  It was no question for Carolina and Duke, but State was questionable.  They were the LAST team announced into the tournament and we can't wait to watch them play!!  I hope they can do well and who knows, maybe go all the way!  haha  :)  We'll see!  Go Pack!!!
